HR 1207 Grassroots Activism Appreciation Thread

HR1207 now has 284 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and is probably one of the most successful bills in recent history... Thanks to all that have helped make this such a great success... keep up the great work! I'm trying to collect as much information as possible about activism on this bill and will update this thread... Please send me links to any videos you make or made on HR1207 activism.... we have a big rally coming up September 15th when Campaign for Liberty will deliver over 100,000 petitions to Congressmen in Washington and members across the nation will deliver petitions to their Senators....

Timeline:
The bill was introduced on February 26th, 2009... the grassroots supporters quickly mobilized and started to gather signatures all across the nation.. Campaign for Liberty had a Mass Action Day on April 28th, 2009 when there were already over 80 co-sponsors for the bill. Campaign for Liberty delivered 47,000 petitions to the Congressmen in Washington while activists delivered petitions all across the nation... subsequently the number of co-sponsors quickly doubled.. key Democrats such as Alan Grayson co-sponsored and lobbied for the bill.. Dennis Kucinich later co-sponsored the bill to strengthen the bipartisan support. The Federal Reserve started to fight back.. they hired a PR person that was an ex-lobby of Enron. Bernanke made a PR tour and made appearances on PBS while pro-Federal Reserve articles started to appear in the Washington Post and WSJ. Grassroots activism continued to remain strong and now HR1207 will get a hearing in the House Financial Services Committee!
